Research and project: It led me to a year-long research on happiness—my own happiness, the happiness of Bulgarians, and our society as a whole. Multiple times, I traveled back and forth between Bulgaria and the Netherlands. The country and its people are in my heart, but there are still lingering questions without clear answers. Questions about who is right and whether the World Happiness Index is not merely a self-celebration of predominantly Western European countries.
