I am Simon Ruisch. I am a journalist, photographer, videographer and Political Science student. I focus on social anthropological themes, documentary, and commercial storytelling. As a photographer, I specialize in documentary photography, aiming to give a voice to unheard individuals or groups. During my journalism studies, my focus often centered around mental health, sexuality, and geopolitical themes. In late 2021, I created a documentary exploring the definition of happiness titled “Bulgaria: the most unhappy country in Europe.” It compiles stories that shed new light on what our Western definition of happiness entails. In 2019, I founded .coqette, a commercial storytelling agency, collaborating with projects and companies that resonate with my beliefs.
