Simon Ruisch – freelance journalist, photographer, and MSc student in International Relations. I focus on migration, conflict, and human rights.

In 2026, I was awarded a research grant by the Lutfia Rabbani Foundation and the University of Amsterdam to conduct research into the living conditions of Sudanese refugees in Cairo, Egypt. Some of these findings were published in The Guardian in May 2026.

In 2019, I founded .coqette, a storytelling agency specialising in photo and video productions with a journalistic touch for social and non-profit projects.
