Salt on your lips
Salt. Everything tastes like salt. Your lips. Salt. Everything smells like salt. Breathe in deeply, and you can sense it. Salt. Everything feels like salt. Rub your skin, and the tiny salt crystals scrub away your old skin flakes.
Things are not going well with the salt flats in Cambodia. Due to the looming rise in sea levels, the harvest diminishes each year. A harvest crucial to the economy of South Cambodia: one of the poorest regions in all of Asia. Farmers are forced to sell their lands, and children have to halt their education to pitch in and salvage what can be saved. But time is running out. Cambodia is recognized as one of the countries likely to be among the first to experience floodings due to climate change.
